This webinar will review legal requirements related to addressing staff members who may have drug or alcohol addiction issues and/or are suspected of being under the influence during school hours. Participants will understand the requirements that come into play under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other anti-discrimination laws, the specific role of the Affirmative Action Officer, and what constitutes a reasonable accommodation for a staff member dealing with addiction issues, and when and how staff members dealing with addiction issues may be subject to disciplinary action
