This workshop will review the latest trends in the use of controlled dangerous substances, including the opioid epidemic sweeping the nation, signs to look for that students may be struggling with addiction issues or be under the influence, best practices in addressing immediate medical issues and legal requirements that come into play. Participants will also be asked respond to scenarios and role plays that require rapid fire decision making and the understanding of legal requirements and best practices.
