To help reduce racial disparities in school discipline, participants will: (1) identify indicators that can be used to establish district and/or school goals to reduce racial disparities in school discipline; (2) learn procedures for data-based decision making and measuring progress in meeting established goals; (3) identify school resources (e.g., school psychologists, guidance counselors, leader teachers) well-positioned to support practices that reduce racial disparities in school discipline; and (4) increase their knowledge of evidence-based school-wide and classroom-based strategies to reduce racial disparities in discipline practices. Strategies will focus specifically on building strong home-school partnerships, using an equity lens when implementing traditional classroom management practices.
