Whether you are creating a maker space in your classroom as a station, or have a dedicated room for this program, this session is for you. Discover Maker Education in an exciting hands-on way and why we need maker spaces in our schools. Based on the Stanford University's Design Thinking model, maker education, delivered authentically can improve climate and culture, attendance, and student achievement. This session will focus on the do's and don'ts of establishing a Maker Space program as well as how to revise, enhance, or recalibrate programs and teachers who misunderstand the program. This session also includes information on how to educate your community, superintendent, or School Board on why this is essential learning in our schools.

Start Date: Wednesday, November 15, 2017
End Date: Wednesday, November 15, 2017
